General Washing & Drying Guideline

• Dissolve detergent in water before use to prevent uneven fading
• Avoid detergents with optical brighteners for light-coloured items
• Wash dark-coloured items separately
• Use a laundry net to reduce friction and maintain shape
• Dry in the shade to prevent colour fading
• Always follow the care label for recommended methods

⚠️Note:
The optical brighteners and softeners in household or self-service laundry detergents are highly likely to cause color fading, especially partial discoloration.

Common Care Guide for Each Product

  • PUFFTECH / Down Outerwear

    How to Wash
    1. Hand wash with lukewarm water (40°C or less).
    2. Fill a bowl or sink with water and mix in an appropriate amount of laundry detergent.

*We recommend using warm water if there are visible stains on the collar or elsewhere.

    Optional:
    • Before soaking the jacket in water, pretreat any visible stained areas such as neck and cuffs with a sponge or cloth with detergent.
    • Lather some detergent on a sponge or other absorbent material and gently blot the stains to avoid damaging the fabric.
*Depending on the type of stains and how long the stains have been there, you might not be able to completely remove the stains. If you are unable to remove the stains, we recommend using a professional cleaning service.

    3. Lightly fold the item so that the collar and cuffs, which tend to stain the easiest, are on top. Then, submerge the folded item in the water.
    4. Gently press down on the item 20-30 times without squeezing the padding. By pressing down in a vertical motion, you can prevent the padding from bunching up.

    5. After washing, rinse the item. Press gently to avoid squeezing the padding, and rinse until you have completely removed the detergent.
*Any remaining detergent in the fabric could cause stains or discoloration, so keep replacing the water and rinsing until there are no more soap bubbles in the water.

    How to Spin
    1. After rinsing, place the item in an appropriately sized net and spin in the washing machine for a short amount of time until it is no longer dripping water.
*If you are not sure how to set up your washing machine's spin cycle, read the manual that came with your washing machine.

    How to Dry
    1. Dry in shade and use a thick hanger, so the item retains its shape.
    2. Re-fluff the item and hang in a well-ventilated, shaded area.
*Drying in an ill ventilated room could cause dampness and mold growth.

    3. Before the item completely dries, return it to its original shape by massaging the padding with your hands and spreading our the padding evenly.

  • Knitwear

    When to Wash
    • Wash only when necessary, such as when there is visible dirt or odour (e.g. smoke).
    • As a general guide, knitwear can often be worn several times before washing, depending on use and condition.

    Tips:
    1. Wear a light inner layer (e.g. light innerwear) under your knitwear to reduce direct contact and minimise washing.
    2. Air the garment between wears to keep it fresh.

    How to Wash

    • Follow the care label instructions.
    • For delicate knitwear such as cashmere and merino wool, hand washing is recommended.
    • If machine washing is permitted, use a laundry net, gentle cycle and mild detergent
Dry flat to help maintain the garment's shape.

    1. Use cool or cold water
    2. Use a mild detergent suitable for wool
    3. Gently press the garment — do not rub or twist

    How to Dry
    1. Do NOT wring the product
    2. Gently press out excess water
    3. Lay the garment flat on a towel or mesh drying rack

    User-added image
    • Reshape the garment while damp to maintain its original form
    • Avoid hanging, as this may cause stretching

    Piling Care
Pilling may occur due to friction during wear and washing, causing fibres to form small balls on the surface.

    To reduce pilling:
    • Avoid friction from rough surfaces or accessories (e.g. bags)
    • Wash less frequently and use gentle care methods

    To remove pilling:
    • Use a fabric shaver for a quick and even result
    • Alternatively, use small scissors to carefully trim pills one by one

    ⚠️ Important precautions:
    • Lay the garment on a flat surface before trimming
    • Trim only the pills — do not cut the fabric
    • Avoid pulling pills by hand, as this may damage fibres
    • Do not over-trim, as repeated removal may thin the fabric over time

  • Fleece

    How to Wash
    1. Turn the fleece inside out to prevent friction against other clothing.
    2. Place the fleece inside a laundry net (fine mesh).
    3. Use hand wash mode (gentle mode) to maintain the fleece texture.
    4. Avoid washing with a heavy load as friction will damage the fabric texture.

    Optional Care Tips
    •  To restore the fur, use a clothes brush to comb the fabric and raise the fleece nap.

    User-added image
    • Recommend using fabric softener or an anti-static spray to overcome the static electricity.

  • Linen

Linen is breathable and feels cool to wear, it has long been known as a warm weather essential. It is well known for wicking and quick drying. However, linen is prone to be wrinkled easily.

    How to Wash
    • Use a gentle wash cycle or hand wash

    • Use a laundry net to reduce wrinkling

    How to Spin
The spin cycle is the main cause of wrinkling when washing. When using a washing machine, the regular spin cycle is too long for linen products. Stretching and flattening by hand when hanging dry are insufficient, so it is recommended to shorten the spin cycle.

If you are washing by hand, hang the item to dry without wringing. The fabric will stretch due to the weight of the water and look better when dry. Linen products can dry quickly, even in a situation of drying in dripping wet condition, it will completely dry in no time on a sunny day.

    How to Dry

    • Hang dry in the shade
    • Avoid direct sunlight to prevent fading

    Optional Care Tips
    • Remove Wrinkles
It is difficult to iron a wrinkled linen shirt. If you like wrinkle-free-look shirts in general, try to stretch and smooth out the wrinkles by hand while it is wet.

    • Dampen with Sprayer
Wrinkles are difficult to remove when dried. Use a sprayer to moisten the fabric when ironing. It’s recommended to iron the linen products before they’re completely dry with medium temperature setting.

     • Storing
Use a hanger with wide/ thick shoulder to minimize deformation. If you prefer folding the linen products, fold them loosely and avoid placing heavy object or other apparels on top.

  • Jeans

    How to Wash
    1. Separate & Minimize
Wash your jeans separately as the colours transfer happen very easily to other apparel. Jeans may damage other clothing if washing together, as jeans fabrics are thick and stiff.

    2. Using Neutral Detergent
Most detergents are either low alkaline or neutral. Low alkaline detergents do a better job of cleaning than neutral detergents do. Though generally low alkaline detergents are very effective, that effectiveness means a greater likelihood of colour fading. When washing jeans, consider the neutral laundry detergents that are reserved for delicate items.

    3. Cold Temperature instead of Hot
Stains (ie: body/ skin oil) come out easier when washed in hot or warm water. However, the higher water temperature, the greater likelihood of colour fading. Therefore, it’s important to wash jeans in cold water.

    4. Gentle Wash Cycles
Jeans fade easily due to friction. The regular wash cycles of washing machines result in heavy friction due to their higher rotations. Therefore, choose gentle wash cycles instead.

    Optional: Minimize Dust Tips
Dust easily to be spotted on black or darker jeans. It clings to jeans due to the static electricity that results from friction, including when doing laundry. A bit of attention can go a long way toward minimizing dust build up. Here are the things to do.

    • Anti-static Spray
Try a commercially available anti-static spray to prevent static electricity that’s due to friction. However, the spray will not remove any dust that is already stuck on the jeans. So spray your jeans when they’re free of dust.
    User-added image
    • Laundry Softener
Using a laundry softener can greatly reduce the static electricity is less likely to accumulate, and thus dust is less likely to cling. Consider washing your jeans separately because washing with other items can easily result in your jeans covered in lint.

     • Removing Dust
Use a lint roller, remover or brush to remove dust and lint. Masking tape are acceptable but avoid those that are strongly adhesive because they’ll cause napping
